Slovenia is a coastal and subalpine country, and according to the United Nations, it is considered one of the most sustainable countries in the world. More than half of its territory is covered by forests, and the state constantly encourages the preservation of the natural environment with its measures. It is rich in thermal springs to which it owes the growing popularity of its spas, and in addition to access to the Adriatic Sea, it also has numerous rivers and lakes. In the east, the Alps provide excellent conditions for hiking and skiing. The capital city of Ljubljana, located below the city castle, is a very picturesque place with an exciting art scene, numerous festivals and breathtaking architecture.
